Production Underwriting Assistant

This is not a traditional entry level insurance opportunity.

Our Crisis Management Division is looking for an entry level Production Underwriting Assistant to join our team of problem solvers at Tokio Marine HCC – Specialty Group.

This position can be based in our Mount Kisco, NY office or our Wakefield, MA headquarters office.

Performance Objectives:

During the first 30 days: Familiarize yourself with the domestic and global teams, internal systems, and business. Become fully acquainted with the products by developing an understanding of the Crisis Management policies and endorsements.

During the first 60-90 days: Begin to issue policy documents, invoices, and endorsements to brokers. Draft policy information worksheets for approval and input policy information into our AS400 insurance system.

On an ongoing basis: Maintain meticulous and up-to-date records of underwriting activities that contribute to our reputation of excellence. Stay up to date on policy wording changes, new forms, regulations, and compliance updates. Work on various projects as needed.

Your Skills & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent, associate degree preferredOffice environment work experience is requiredExcellent analytical and critical thinking skillsIncredible attention to detail and organizational skillsProficiency in Office 365Accurate data entry skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAdept at working as part of a team yet capable of working independently as needed

“For candidates working in person or remotely in Mt Kisco, NY, the reasonable pay range for this specific position is ($48,300 - $60,400). The salary offered for this specific position is based on a number of legitimate, non-discriminatory factors set by the Company.
