Production Worker, 2nd Shift

Job Summary
 

The Production Worker I is responsible for safely gathering or putting away raw materials and assembling goods in production cells. In addition, this position will carry out basic quality checks such as visual inspection for cosmetic defects and functional testing of product, and packaging and adequately storing all necessary items.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

Assembling products and parts. Work on production cell and meet production targets. Receive, store material, gather components to fulfill work orders requirements. Enter material transfers via scanner or data entry.Perform daily cycle count activities. Follow production guidelines and specifications. Sort and salvage returned or rejected materials.Select and inspect part holding racks for finishing processes according to size, shape, and number or parts to be processed per guidelines provided.Follow BT500 quality inspection standards to verify finish on parts complies to specifications.Verify paperwork, verify parts and count parts prior to racking or removing from racks.Report any issues to the production supervisor or lead on duty.Perform housekeeping activities within work area.Adhere to and promote all company safety rules and policies.Performs other duties as required.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Educations and/or Experience

High School diploma or GED is required.Experience handling or working in a production line.Experience reading/understanding blueprints is a plus.

Computer Skills

Basic Microsoft Office knowledge (Outlook, Word, Excel) is a plusWorking knowledge of an Enterprise Resource Planning software (ERP)

Language Skills

English (reading, writing, verbal) bilingual is a plus

Mathematical Skills

Basic math skills (add, subtract, divide, multiply)

Other Skills

Ability to work all shifts, including weekends and holiday hours.Ability to legally work without sponsorship for employment visa status.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may have frequent standing, walking, squatting, kneeling, twisting, and use of ladders, with occasional sitting.  Continuous usage of his/her hands to grasp and manipulate objects, tools or controls, and to push and pull carts and occasional usage of ladders. Additionally, this position requires the ability to continuously lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds with or without assistance. Required to wear PPE (ie. Face, foot, eye, hand, and/or hearing protection on plant floor). Use of nitrile gloves and/or palm covered nitrile gloves.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in an office environment or enclosed office space; and can be exposed to a warehouse environment on a frequent basis. The ambient conditions are moderate, and the noise level in the work environment is moderate.
