Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Production Worker to join our team at a cheese manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in a warehouse or production environment, be physically capable of lifting 45 pounds over 50 times per day, and be willing to be cross-trained in multiple departments.
Responsibilities:Place blocks of cheese on a conveyor belt in the production department.Work in a cooler environment (35 degrees) where finished products are stored.Cross-train in the manufacturing department to mix unflavored cheese blocks with different varieties.Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the production area.Participate in thorough cleaning of the factory at the end of each shift.
Work Environment:
The work environment is a very clean food plant with approximately 15 workers on the production floor. You will initially work with one individual for training but will collaborate with the entire team during clean-up. The plant has a strong cheese smell, so it may not be suitable for those sensitive to odors. Proper PPE including hair nets, beard nets, safety glasses, ear plugs, and coats are provided. Steel-toe shoes are required. The facility is thoroughly cleaned from top to bottom at the end of each shift, and waterproof shoe covers and coats are provided for cleaning. The first shift runs from 6 am to 4:45 pm, Monday to Thursday, with potential overtime on Fridays during busy periods.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.75 - $19.75
