Our Calgary manufacturing facility is looking for a talented General Laborer (Production Worker) to join our team. Under the direction and leadership of the Lead Hand, the General Laborer is responsible for the assembly of modular units and other modular building components, ensuring work tasks are performed following safety procedures while ensuring a high level of quality and timeliness. This is a union-based role.

What You Get to Do: 

Assist in the installation of sheeting materials, including subfloors, wall sheeting, and roofing sheeting using various materials. Assist in the assembly of doors, windows, trim, and millwork, including the hardware and painting. Gather material needed for assembly of units and installation of small finishing items. Pre-assembly of components, read and interpret blueprints. Use hand and power tools safely.  Other duties as assigned.

Who You Are: 

Any experience in carpentry in residential/commercial construction projects, home renovation projects, DIY carpentry projects, building decks, and fences. Experience in operating hand and power tools in a safe manner. Ability to lift 55lbs unassisted and 35lbs overhead. Capability to stand, crouch, and kneel for long periods.   Comfortable operating hand and power tools in a safe manner.
