Job Title: Plumber\n

FLSA Status: Non-exempt\n

Summary: Under General supervision, work on the production line to build manufactured housing, as part of a team, and perform quality work at a fast moving and consistent manner.\n

Plumber Job Responsibilities:\n\nInstall, repair pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in residential structures.\nOverseeing the fitting and repair of sanitation systems such as bathtubs, showers, toilets, and sinks.\nTesting plumbing systems to identify leaks and other faults.\n\n\nDrill or cut holes in walls\/floor to make room for the passage of pipes.\nCollaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals.\nFollow building plans and blueprints.\n\n\nRespond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies.\nPerform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems.\nLight construction, carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling and electrical work as required. \n\n

Plumber Qualifications \/ Skills:\n\nSkilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade\nKnowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices\nAbility to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings\nFamiliarity with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper\nEffective oral communication and interpersonal skills\nAbility to complete projects independently\nExcellent problem-solving skills\nAttention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously\nProficiency in basic mathematics and conversion of measurements\n\n

Education and Experience Requirements:\n\nHigh school diploma or GED certificate\nState plumbing license\n1-3 years experience as a journeyman plumber\nValid driver's license\n\n
