You’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. 

Primary Responsibilities:

Will report directly to and assist the manager/director in supervising a rapidly growing remote coding group that supports a major multi-hospital system Will be responsible for monitoring, assessing, and assisting with the performance and day to day activities of up to 35 remote employees, not limited to time-keeping, attendance, and productivity Will work with HR, IT Provisioning team, and coding manager/director in all aspects of on-boarding new employees May need to perform auditing functions Work with manager/director to promote productivity of the employees in the Computer-Assisted Coding challenges Will serve as direct and primary contact to the hospitals to provide coverage and systems access where needed. Will help set team direction and provide guidance to coding staff Work closely with manager/director in managing day to day operations. Assist the facilities with unbilled as it pertains to remote coding staff accounts. Work in partnership with the facilities and corporate leadership to uphold the values based competencies of the corporation

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED (or higher) Have and maintain current coding credential from AHIMA or AAPC (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P CPC or CPC-H) 3+ years of recent pro-fee coding experience 1+ year of EMR and Encoder software knowledge Ability to work during normal business hours, travel will be minimal to none, but may require onsite training in rare situation

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Computer-Assisted Coding (CAC) Undergraduate degree 1+ year of leadership experience 1+ year of claims edit experience Experience in management of remote employees Knowledge of Cerner Powerchart, Meditech, Epic and MedSeries4 billing system Microsoft Office experience to include Word, Outlook and basic Excel

California, Colorado, Nevada, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Hawaii, Washington, or Washington D.C Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Nevada, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Hawaii, Washington, or Washington D.C residents is $58,300 to $114,300 per year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
