Position Summary(Basic Job Function)
This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides professional support. Responsibilities may include general business, science, medical, agricultural or other professional support functions. Term: Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between and at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call. On-Call allowed to work 1039 hours in any twelve (12) month period.
The Johnson laboratory in the Department of Psychology is searching for a research personnel. 50% - Conducting independent and collaborative experiments in rodents; analyzing resulting data 25% - Managing and maintaining laboratory supplies and reagents 25% - Managing animal breeding colony
Unit Position Summary
The successful candidate responsibilities will include to run basic behavioral tasks in rodents, implement standard scientific techniques such as preparation of solutions for injections and staining, PCR, stereotaxic surgery, post-operative care, immunohistochemistry for behavioral circuit analyses. Furthermore, the candidate will be expected to assist in the completion of data acquired through experimental endeavor, maintain and monitor research instruments, laboratory inventory, and the disposal of hazardous material.
