The Professional Billing Training Coordinator supports all aspects of end-user training from needs analysis, formulation of training curriculum, documenting process workflows, and execution of training classes for all Professional Billing staff. This position will require a comprehensive understanding of all Professional Billing revenue cycle processes and protocols and development of multi-faceted educational approaches to meet varied learning needs and styles. The Professional Billing Training Coordinator is responsible for effectively integrating all aspects of Professional Billing into training materials including information about workflows and processes as well as EPIC and eCW billing applications. It is critical that the trainer embraces change and looks for ways to continuously improve training and training materials. This position works closely with the Director, Patient Accounts Professional Billing to provide leadership to the Professional Billing training and education efforts including new hire onboarding and continuing education.
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday (1st shift)
Work environment: Fully on-site for the first 90 days, and then converting to hybrid after the probationary period is over

Responsibilities1. Develops, designs, and maintains role-based curriculums using a variety of software programs, tools, and applications.
2. Coordinates and facilitates training and education that is consistent with Professional Billing role-based skills/competencies.
3. Develops and executes training for refresher and efficiency training needs, onboarding, and upgrade training.
4. Maintains communication with on-boarded staff and, when appropriate, acts as a role model and mentor for competency development.
5. Acts as a resource in answering staff’s questions. Provides appropriate feedback to management regarding performance of staff within the department.
6. Provides formal and informal educational programs, such as classes, in-services, continuing education, and other major educational programs, to meet staff and organizational needs.
7. Assists with building, testing, and maintaining training environments.
8. Provides system support and troubleshoots issues.
9. Maintains current knowledge of changes in billing requirements and regulations. Monitors changes in payer reimbursement policies.
10. Facilitates problem solving and conflict resolution related to the learning of roles, skills, procedures, and new software.
11. Participates, as appropriate, in the development of other training programs for which the position is not responsible.
12. Serves as a liaison to other NCH training/education programs.
13. Supports NCH mission, philosophy, policies, procedures, standards, and strategic goals.
14. Maintains at all times the rights of the patient and family regarding confidentiality of the medical record according to policy.
15. Performs other duties as assigned.
