The Training Coordinator will collaborate with the Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) and program leadership to provide a variety of trainings related to staff development and professional growth, effective communication and wellness and self-care. In addition, special attention will be given to the Agency’s needs around supervisory development and training. This position will also be responsible for managing and implementing external training contracts and will assist and support the Director of Clinical Training with carrying out those external training initiatives. The Training Coordinator will support the Agency’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) work and is a thought partner in developing specialized trainings for staff development related to DEI.
Job Responsibilities:
· Consult with program leadership around staff development needs specific to supervisory skill development, family-driven care and crisis response, in addition to other areas as assessed by leadership.
· Develop and facilitate specialized trainings based on program need and for identified community initiatives.
· Assess effectiveness of training and development initiatives and provide regular feedback to the Chief Human Resource Officer.
· Review existing training programs on a regular basis; suggest enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning and retention, to ensure the training programs meet the changing needs of the Agency, employees and community partners.
· Ensure that training materials and content are current, accurate and effective.
· Maintain knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to the Agency and/or industry.
· Identify areas of need, inefficiencies and low productivity throughout the Agency and recommend training and development plans to address.
· Participate in the DEI Advisory Council and assist in the implementation of DEI strategic goals, including incorporating aspects of DEI into all trainings and training materials.
· Collaborate with Human Resources and program leadership to strategize around recruitment, engagement, and retention goals as they relate to training and professional growth.
· Identify personal growth opportunities for program staff, which may include mentoring opportunities and/or attendance at internal or external trainings and/or committees.
· Participate in various leadership committees related to strategic training and staff development initiatives.

RequirementsYou must have:
Associate degree with a minimum 5 years of experience in training and development. Bachelor degree in education, communication or the social service field preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in the social service field.Minimum of two years of supervisory experience.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Demonstrated experience with training and/or teaching adults, with an emphasis on crisis intervention, family driven care and staff development. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.Must be able to moderate various group sizes and have knowledge of the various learning styles of participants. Able to implement strategic staff development initiatives. Knowledgeable and skilled in adult learning models and able to develop and facilitate trainings for staff and community partners. Able to work independently and effectively implement training initiatives both internally and externally.
