Professional Indemnity Paralegal / Claims Manager
Company: Our client is a national property company providing a range of essential services to business and consumer customers. Role - Professional Indemnity Paralegal / Claims Manager: Reporting into the Solicitor responsible for Professional Indemnity, as the teams in-house Professional Indemnity Paralegal / Claims Manager, you will act as the business interface in relation to professional indemnity (PI) claims, particularly claims arising out of surveyor defects, residential valuation and conveyancing work, letting's and sales, and other property related claims and notifications. In addition to your PI claims management duties, you will also have responsibility for claims administration, group insurance cover matters, general litigation support and the provision of ad hoc support to the customer relations team within the group. This role Professional Indemnity Paralegal / Claims Manager is an ideal opportunity for a professional indemnity Paralegal or Legal Executive to move in-house into industry undertaking PI work. About you: You should be a Paralegal or Legal Executive with a minimum of three years proven legal experience of claims handling professional indemnity litigation, and ideally professional negligence claims relating to the property sector - e.g. survey and valuations, conveyancing and sales and lettings. Applications from individuals specialising in claimant, defendant or insurance backed PI are encouraged. Location: Our client has a number of office locations across the country, including Greater Manchester and London, so hybrid working is available if preferred. Alternatively, home working and flexible working options are very much an option. The outgoing team member successfully worked remotely so the team and business is used to such an arrangement. Please note, some travel and visits to various company locations throughout the country may be required from time to time. What's on offer: The stated budget for this role is £30-40k and the package includes a circa 5% employer pension contribution, private medical cover and 4x life assurance.
