The Autodesk Consulting team is seeking a talented and dynamic individual to lead our Manufacturing consulting group in North America, reporting to the Senior Manager of Professional Services Consulting in Manufacturing. As a key member of the Consulting team within our Enterprise Customer Success organization, the successful candidate is a leader who is equally comfortable articulating the vision of success to our customers while energizing a team of highly skilled professionals who are helping to redefine the manufacturing industry.
The focus of this team will be to help guide our customers as we help them build their data strategy. The Manufacturing Consulting Manager will have direct involvement in shaping how we deliver services as well as interface with other Manufacturing thought leaders within Autodesk and beyond.

Responsibilities
Directly manage Manufacturing-focused consultants across North America
Demonstrate excellence in strategic thinking, engagement planning, business process optimization, and communications
Lead and/or participate in the thought development around new and expanded offerings as part of a comprehensive consulting delivery portfolio
Proactively manage engagement schedules and staffing plans with Consulting Delivery leadership
Become a trusted business partner to customers as well as across Autodesk for Manufacturing services
Prepare, review, and manage deliverables to the customer through Consulting projects
Plan for consultants development/training plan based on current and anticipated demand in skills and individual’s career growth aspirations
Ensure that team members perform to the highest level of quality and professionalism
Advise on project estimating of proposed solutions and participate in business development activities
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related degree
Must have at least seven (7) years of hands-on experience in the Manufacturing industry with at least three (3) years of experience working directly with Data Management solutions, products, and standards (Autodesk products highly preferred)
Prior experience in all facets of managing a team. Experience managing a remote team preferred
Demonstrated initiative and ability to drive decisions and get closure on recommendations and issues
Proven ability to work with diversified technical, sales, and project management teams
Ability to work independently and/or guide other team members to meet deadlines
Must have a solid working knowledge of software development lifecycle processes and how to operate under structured project management
Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience conducting workshops, facilitating meetings, and delivering effective presentations to teams and customers
Must be able to break down complex topics into a common language understandable by non-technical/business-oriented audiences
Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, including international travel
Preferred Qualifications
Strong knowledge of manufacturing industry practices and processes
Advanced experience development and enabling design workflow process between engineering, manufacturing, facilities management, and building management/construction
Experience leveraging Autodesk products such as Vault, Fusion Manage, Fusion Teams, etc.
Experience in developing and sustaining a manufacturing solution portfolio

Managers of Professional roles – and/or managers of people that manage Support roles
Manages work for medium size team, or multiple small teams and achieves results by directing work through supervisors/team leads and professional employees
Typically focused on areas of subject matter expertise within one discipline
Keep their teams organized, efficient, effective, productive, and motivated through professional leadership techniques
Responsible for managing deliverables against expected results with a timeline that is typically longer than a quarter
Focus is more operational, and decisions are typically made within established policies, procedures and objectives

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $118,100 and $191,070. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.Equal Employment Opportunity
