Professional Staff Nurse, Endoscopy

The Endoscopy Department is looking for a Professional Staff Nurse to join their team! This position is full time, mostly day shift with some weekend/ on-call requirements.

Title and Salary will be determined based upon education and nursing experience.

Overview: You will be part of a team that cares for both inpatients and outpatients needing both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures.  You will learn both the documentation role and how to assist the physician during numerous, specialized procedures, as well as being trained in the preoperative and postoperative settings.

Objective: The Professional Staff Nurse sets standards for care quality and is accountable for delivering nursing care. This role involves managing patient care for groups of patients and their families using independent judgment, communication, and teamwork. Key responsibilities include leadership, collaboration with physicians and healthcare providers, and maintaining relationships to achieve desired patient outcomes. The nurse also demonstrates a commitment to both the community and the nursing profession.

Responsibilities:

Applies knowledge of adult learning principles in educating patients, families, students, and new staff, and fosters an environment of continuous development through feedback and open dialogue. Commits to professional development, actively engages in shared governance, and contributes to changes that improve patient care and the practice environment. Participates in quality improvement efforts, identifies opportunities for improvement, and uses research and evidence-based practices to enhance clinical care and patient satisfaction.
