Responsibilities:

Actively engages in quality improvement initiatives specific to the department or practice, identifying opportunities for enhancement and collaborating with colleagues and management to drive improvements. Takes personal responsibility for enhancing patient satisfaction and the quality of care and service, striving for excellence in all aspects of patient interaction. Utilizes research and evidence-based practices to support clinical care improvements, staying current with relevant research and integrating findings into practice. Establishes and maintains positive, caring relationships with executives, managers, physicians, non-physician providers, ancillary and support staff, and patients/families. Effectively manages multiple priorities and complex tasks within a dynamic environment, demonstrating proficiency with specialized equipment and adapting to changing needs. Employs strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to address various aspects of patient care, leading others in the application of the nursing process. Demonstrates mobility and manual dexterity, with the physical stamina to walk, stand, lift, and position patients frequently. Applies adult learning principles (or child teaching principles if applicable) to educate patients, families, students, and new staff, providing clear and supportive guidance throughout care episodes. Formulates patient care goals and plans collaboratively, considering holistic needs and coordinating with physicians to address clinical, social, safety, psychological, and spiritual issues. Engages in professional development, contributing to practice-based shared governance, supporting quality improvement efforts, and adapting flexibly to changes in care processes and environments.
