UPMC is currently hiring for a Full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our outpatient Urology office in Williamsport, PA. This is a salaried Professional Staff Nurse, OP position 5 days/week, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, with no weekends or major holidays. **Purpose:**
As a Registered Nurse on our care delivery team, you'll set and uphold high standards of care. You'll be responsible for providing and managing nursing care for patients and their families, using your judgment, communication, and collaboration skills. You'll work closely with physicians and other healthcare providers to achieve the best patient outcomes. Your role also includes demonstrating a commitment to the community and the nursing profession.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Assess patient's general condition, take vital signs, and record weight.
+ Draw blood and administer medications (oral, SQ, IM, IV drip).
+ Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.
+ Comply with all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health).
+ Participate in quality improvement efforts and identify opportunities for enhancement.
+ Take responsibility for improving patient satisfaction and care quality.
+ Use research and evidence-based practices to support clinical care improvements.
+ Build and maintain positive relationships with all team members, patients, and families.
+ Work effectively in a complex environment, handling multiple priorities and specialized equipment.
+ Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills in patient care.
+ Demonstrate physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting, and positioning of patients.

+ Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and/or interact appropriately to the ages of the patients served by his/her assigned unit as specified below.
+ Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs and to provide the care needs as described in the department policy and procedures.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
+ Act 33 with renewal
+ Act 34 with renewal
+ Act 73 FBI Clearance
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
+ CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
+ Registered Nurse (RN) OR *Temporary Practice Permit (TPP)
+ Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
+ *UPMC requires that GNs take the licensure examination within 6 months of their start date or 1 year of graduation, whichever comes first.
