No If Temporary, enter End Date: Position Summary This is a permanency-eligible eleven-month, full-time professional tutoring position in The Learning Center (TLC), which is a comprehensive, centralized academic support program serving SUNY Cortland students. This position will provide direct service tutoring to Cortland students and collaborate closely with TLC colleagues to coordinate and supervise one of TLC’s student-led academic support programs, including training and observing student leaders in the program.

Experience Cortland dives deep into the region’s offerings Major Responsibilities • Tutor students in study skills, time management, math, writing, and/or science in both one-on-one andgroup settings• Co-coordinate one of The Learning Center’s programs and collaborate with colleague(s) to plan and implement training, development, supervision, and assessment of student leaders working in the program• Formally and informally assess student learning in tutoring, programs, workshops, and presentations• Conduct workshops and presentations on The Learning Center services and academic success• Interact regularly with faculty, staff and students• Collect and manage program data for use in reports and program decision-making Functional and Supervisory Relationships • Reports to the Director of The Learning Center• Trains and supervises student workers in a TLC peer-led program• Works closely with co-coordinator of peer-led program and other TLC professional tutors, as well as TLC administrative assistant, student assistants, and grad assistants Required Qualifications • Master’s Degree• Experience tutoring and/or teaching in a post-secondary environment or teaching Math/Science in secondary education environment• Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook/Word/Excel/Ppt) and Google Teams/Forms/Bookings etc. Preferred Qualifications • Master’s Degree in Education, Psychology, Math/Science, or related field• Tutor certification• Three or more years’ tutoring experience in a post-secondary environment• Experience coordinating and managing peer-led academic support programs, including training/supervising student leaders• Experience working with diverse populations• Data collection experience• Experience helping young adults learn in a higher education environment, especially in Math/Science• Experience with Adobe software and social media platforms (ex.
