**FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT**

The Department of Nursing and is currently housed in the School of Health Sciences, Human Services and Nursing (HS2N). The School of Health Sciences, Human Services and Nursing currently includes six departments: Exercise Science and Recreation; Health Promotion and Nutrition Sciences; Health Equity, Administration & Technology; Social Work; Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences, and Nursing. The school is also home to the CUNY Institute for Health Equity. Departments in the School actively engage with community and government partners to support evidence-based practices and health equity, with a special emphasis on urban populations. The faculty are also strongly committed to high quality teaching and preparation of ethical and skilled health and human service professionals.
The Department of Nursing is seeking a senior faculty member to serve at the rank of full professor and as the Department Chair beginning Fall 2025 or Spring 2026. The successful candidate is expected to participate fully in the life of the Department of Nursing, College, and University including teaching, committee work, obtaining grants, publishing in refereed professional journals, and contributing generally to the intellectually vibrant environment of the Department of Nursing.
The teaching load is 18 credit hours over a 9-month appointment for a regular professorial faculty appointment; however, the chair will receive substantial release time in order to fully oversee the operation of the department of nursing. Opportunities are available for chair to have professional development and travel awards. Lehman College and CUNY internal funding is available through competitive grants for scholarship and professional development support.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
Ph.D., EdD., DNS degree with experience in Nursing or related discipline or a related academic field is required on commencement of the appointment. Must have a baccalaureate and master degree in nursing. Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New York State at the time of appointment. Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution. Active involvement in professional organizations and sincere commitment to student success.
**COMPENSATION**
Professor **$137,185 - $150,497**
