Professor of Research Surgery (Cardiothoracic)

The USC Department of Surgery is recruiting at the level of Professor of Research (non-Tenure track) for a candidate who possess a Ph.D., M.D., and/or equivalent degree in Molecular & Cell Biology with an emphasis in Cancer biology and Immunology. In addition, candidate must possess advanced investigative-research skills, prior research experience in the fields of Epigenetics, Epigenomics, Bioinformatics, Cancer, Lung Biology and/or Molecular Biology, including publication and/or funding records in these fields, with a strong interest in teaching and basic science research.

Work will be conducted in collaboration with an existing team of investigators on the Health Sciences Campus of the University of Southern California. In addition to supporting the goals of the team of investigators, the successful applicant will have opportunities to develop an independent research program and submit independent and/or collaborative grant proposals as a principal investigator.
