Program Administrator, Disability Inclusive Culture

Situated in the Office of Global Inclusion (OGI) and reporting to both the Director of Inclusive Culture (DIC) and the Assistant Director of Disability Inclusive Culture (ADDIC), the Program Administrator for Disability Inclusive Culture (PA) is a pivotal role in supporting the Director and Assistant Director in realizing a disability inclusive culture within the NYU local and global communities. Through programming, expert consultation, and collaborations centering University-wide Global Inclusion, Diversity, Belonging, Equity, and Access (GIDBEA), the Disability Inclusion Culture team works in coordination with the Office of the President’s Disability Access Committee, the OGI Disabilities, Inclusion and Accessibility Working Group, the Center for Disability Studies and other strategic collaborators. The incumbent will provide support to the Director and Assistant Director through project management and implementing strategies that promote accessibility, inclusivity, and awareness. Prioritize and co-manage programming and initiatives involving university constituencies and key collaborators, co- implement policies and procedures, manage and track the program budget, prepare annual and interim reports, support the Assistant Director in analyzing outcomes, and plan program events and activities. Work with the Assistant Director to generate compelling content that engages and motivates diverse audiences via events, programs, websites, newsletters, social media, etc. Qualifications Required Education:Bachelor's Degree in higher education administration, special education, counseling, social work, psychology, public administration, or other related fields.Preferred Education:Master's Degree in a related field.Required Experience:2+ years of related experience administering programs and/or services in higher education, including planning and implementing educational programs, creating new systems and procedures, and managing data and information, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Strong organizational and project management skills, including prioritizing and managing up and across. Ability to manage programming and initiatives involving university constituencies and key collaborators; implement policies and procedures; develop and maintain the program webpage; manage and track the program budget; prepare annual and interim reports; support the Assistant Director in analyzing outcomes; and plan program events and activities. Strong interpersonal skills and the demonstrated ability to develop and sustain effective relationships supporting organizational goals are required for this role. Foundational and applied knowledge of global inclusion, diversity, belonging, equity, and access from an intersectional lens for persons with disabilities. Ability to work and communicate with diverse internal and external partners in individual and group settings. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation applications, and various social media platforms. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, discretion, and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment. Experience with content management systems (CMS) and assessment databases. Work with the Assistant Director to generate compelling content that engages and motivates diverse audiences via events, programs, websites, newsletters, social media, etc. Additional Information In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $79,200.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
