Summary:

As a key member of the Children's Health Initiative research lab, under the direction of the Principle Investigator, the Program Administrator has a variety of responsibilities, including, but not limited to coordinating research staff, being the key contact within CHA for Children's Health Initiative grant operations, supporting the clinical team and leading implementation and data collection activities for "Family Connections", a four-year federal grant to study integrated pediatric mental health services for children and families within CHA

Responsibilities 

The Program Administrator will also have a variety of responsibilities regarding CHI stakeholders, internal and external to CHA, including, but not limited to monitoring project timelines, communication, and report submission to funders and state agency partners, under the direction of the PIThis position requires the Program Administrator to have exceptional managerial and leadership skills, a strong data management skill-set and experience analyzing data; this position also requires budget experience and finance skillsThe Program Administrator will be responsible for overseeing field research; this entails managing data collection processes and activities at different sites, participating in the the development of study protocols and procedures, collaborating with clinical supervisors, participating in management of Research Coordinators and/or trainees from academic programsThe Program Administrator will work with senior researchers in preparation of peer reviewed articles. Other general duties include preparing substantive aspects of research grant proposals and IRB applications, creating ad hoc reports and other duties as requested by the Principle Investigator.

Other Information:

Education/Training: Master’s Degree in related field (MBA, MPP, MPH) and previous experience managing a team and/or working within a large research setting strongly preferred. Work Experience: The applicant should have a strong interest in public health research, in general, and mental health and/or child health related research, specifically. Experience with grant application, IRBs, and manuscript preparation preferred. Experience holding significant responsibilities within either applied clinical research settings or clinical programs of comparable scale and complexity. The candidate for this position must have highly developed organizational and research skills, excellent computer and IT skills, and the ability to work effectively in both in a team environment, and to function independently, as appropriate. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills also required; evidence demonstrating prior professional writing, budget planning and analytic skills desirable
