Now Hiring: Program AidePosition Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Program Aide to support the daily operations of our program, ensuring a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for participants. If you are passionate about community service and enjoy working in a hands-on role, we encourage you to apply!
Key Responsibilities
+ Provide Activities of Daily Living (ADL) assistance to participants, including walking, escorting, transferring, toileting, and feeding.
+ Perform daily program tasks such as contacting participants/caregivers for attendance, setting up program spaces, assisting with morning coffee and lunch service, and other duties as assigned.
+ Escort participants safely between their residence and the program site, including assisting with agency-provided transportation.
+ Plan, prepare, and lead or assist with activities within the Social Adult Day Services (SADS) program.
+ Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow agency procedures; accompany participants to medical facilities when necessary.
+ Report any physical or behavioral changes in participants to the Program Director and Program Coordinator.
+ Shop for program and refreshment supplies as needed.
+ Encourage social interaction and foster a welcoming environment for participants.
+ Attend staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
+ Follow infection control protocols and universal precautions.
+ Maintain confidentiality and uphold participant rights.
+ Provide coverage and support for absent staff as needed.
+ Assist with other program needs as requested.
