The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues.
The Critical Infrastructure Group (CIG) within JOID provides technical, programmatic and analytical support to customers with missions in national security to include the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Health and Human Services (HHS), and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The Group brings technical and operational expertise in fields of countering weapons of mass destruction, critical infrastructure protection, emergency response, nuclear non-proliferation, weapons deployment programs, and transportation safety. In addition to management and advisory services, CIG staff collaborate closely with our clients to provide high-quality modeling, simulation, software, and analytical products to meet the most demanding government standards and timelines.
We have an immediate need for Junior and Journeyman Program Analysts to provide support to DHS Customs and Border Protection (CBP) customers located in Washington, DC. These positions allow for hybrid work schedules.
Responsibilities
The candidate will assist the Government program/project manager in the development of new programs and associated documentation or the execution oversight of deployed programs or technical capability integration activities. Assist the Government with preparing SES and higher headquarters-level briefs, white papers, and memos used as the basis to support executive program recommendations and decisions. Assist with development of program plans, task trackers and schedules that comply with the program's Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS). Assist the Government program/project manager in tracking project cost, schedule and technical performance. Work with CBP clients to establish and monitor the program’s execution towards milestones, key events, and significant accomplishment criteria. Coordinate meetings, track action items and project metrics, and report status. Support project requirements by providing acquisition program management consulting, coordinating procurement activities, and assisting with documentation and performance measures.

Ability to obtain and retain a CBP Background Investigation.Degree and Experience RequirementsJourneyman: Bachelors and 3+ years of experience Junior: Bachelors and 1 year of experienceExperience tracking program/project performance and schedule.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.Desired:
Active DHS Suitability or CBP Background InvestigationExperience providing similar support to DHS, with CBP experience highly preferred.Experience with business applications and data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or similar.Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salary transparency pay range for the Washington DC area: $70k-$105K
