Summary About the Position: Leads the development and management of workload plans for execution of civil works and interagency support. Leads the development, maintenance, and distribution of a list of current and future projects for workload forecasting and resource planning. Responsibilities Leads the process for identification of future workload across all district programs and functions and development of plans for execution of the workload through in-house offices, contracting, and/or support from other Corps’ districts. Coordinates directly with all program and resource managers to develop future workload projections for all work to include direct and reimbursable projects/programs. Maintains awareness of national and enterprise trends, economic changes, emerging national or regional challenges, and stakeholder engagements to identify potential new workload or mission requirements. Seeks to improve organizational planning and management processes thought the use of available or new automated information systems and software. Leads development of recommendations for the district’s governance bodies and senior leaders. Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes developing, defending, and executing budgets; Reviewing and interpreting guidance and regulations, coordinating with stakeholders to receive input and make adjustments, and developing reports, documents, and materials to allow for management oversight; understanding project management software, financial management software and other software and systems when required; Performing detailed analysis using multiple data inputs. Providing input to an organization when developing workload projections and/or leading multi-functional district teams in conducting organizational assessments and studies to determine the most effective and efficient organizational structures. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Force Management Organizational Performance Analysis Strategic Planning Written Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
