**Position Description:**
The PMO Lead ensures project governance and compliance with USAID's IT Strategic Plan, leveraging PMO best practices and methodologies like Agile and Waterfall. Key responsibilities include developing frameworks for project success, aligning with governance standards, and leading PMO support teams. The role requires expertise in process improvement, KPI tracking, and effective communication with stakeholders. Experience includes over 7 years in PMO roles, leading cross-functional teams, and working in global settings. Preferred certifications are PgMP, PMP, and Six Sigma Belts.
This position is located in Washington, DC.
**Your future duties and responsibilities:**
• Recommend, develop, and implement frameworks or methodologies that drive successful project outcomes and optimize governance practices.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of USAID’s project governance objectives, standards, and processes to ensure alignment and effectiveness.
• Lead and manage the contractor PMO support team to deliver comprehensive PMO support for project initiatives.
• Conduct periodic reviews of PMO governance processes, review lessons learned, identify improvement opportunities, and implement necessary changes.
• Establish and track key metrics to assess the success and effectiveness of governance processes.
• Advocate for and clearly communicate PMO processes, achievements, and improvements to stakeholders at all levels.
• Provide status update
**Required qualifications to be successful in this role:**
• 7+ years of experience working in PMO in the IT sector, responsible for establishing project governance frameworks, best practices, quality standards, and defining success criteria for projects.
• 5+ years of experience in reviewing, streamlining, and optimizing project management processes, and driving organizational change within the PMO.
• Proven ability to communicate with senior leadership and diverse stakeholders, effectively briefing the value of the PMO and advocating for necessary changes to processes, strategies, or governance models.
• 7+ years of experience in leading large, cross-functional teams across multiple projects, ensuring alignment, collaboration, and successful execution of complex initiatives.
• 7+ years of experience working with diverse teams or clients, particularly in global or multicultural settings, adapting to different communication styles and navigating complex requirements.
• 5+ years of experience working on projects or initiatives on meeting Federal Cybersecurity
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
• PgMP and/or PMP certifications
• Certified Six Sigma Belts

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $125,500.00 - $241,600.00.
