Summary
Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Program Assistant has the responsibility and accountability for the telephone triage of all calls forwarded to the rehabilitation center. Assists Medical Director with authorizations for Botox. Responsible for accurate & timely completion of statistics, data entry and transmission of patient data to Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
+ Supports and promotes the mission and values of Covenant Health Ministry
+ Appropriately & effectively communicates with referral office personnel, nurses, physicians, ancillary departments and patients and family members
+ Completes data entry accurately and timely
+ Creates daily, monthly, quarterly and annual reports
+ Analyzes & detects inconsistencies with IRF PAI data
+ Performs duties related to the overall functioning of the Rehabilitation Center
+ Orders needed equipment for department
+ Other duties as consistent with this role

+ Medical terminology required
+ Computer training required
Education and Experience
+ High school diploma
An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with this position that involves a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. Occasional lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs. Some stress related to high level of responsibility for quality care.
