Program Assistant
Just Family Center, a part of the Sevita family, provides home and community-based services including day programs for elders with complex medical or rehabilitative needs, attendant care and case management. This allows seniors to obtain quality healthcare while remaining active and involved in the community and continuing to live in their own homes. Our programs are staffed with qualified, experienced licensed nurses and caregivers who are trained to provide individual assistance to each person we serve. **Program Assistant Adult Day** Would you like to work in a rewarding environment with fantastic co-workers? You can make a difference by providing care to the individuals we serve in our community-based Day Program. + Provide assistance in the daily care of health impaired older adults or individuals in our care with brain injuries, intellectual/ developmental disabilities, emotional or behavioral disability or mental diagnosis. + Assist with the development and implementation of individual and group activity programs, and responsible for the care, safety, security, and social/recreation activities for the individuals receiving support. + Assist individuals receiving care with daily living, including personal hygiene, bathing, bathroom assistance, grooming, preparing meals, and medication administration. + Provide guidance with social skills, advocacy and self-esteem and teach strategies to live as independently as possible. + Transport to medical appointments, errands, shopping or activities in the community. **_Qualifications:_** + High school diploma or its equivalent and must be 18 years of age + Minimum one year experience in providing services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, preferably with older adults + Physical in the past 12 months and annual TB test + Valid driver’s license, access to reliable vehicle with current registration, and insurance + Proficient in vital signs, weights, Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and independent ADLs + Competence in CPR and First Aid + Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills to manage relationships + A reliable, responsible attitude and a compassionate approach **_Why Join Us?_** + Full, Part-time, and As Needed schedules available. + Full compensation/benefits package for full-time employees. + 401(k) with company match. + Paid time off and holiday pay. + Rewarding work, impacting the lives of those you serve, working alongside a great team of coworkers. + Enjoy job security with nationwide career development and advancement opportunities. **We have meaningful work that enhances lives - Come join our team –** **_Apply Today!_** Sevita is a leading provider of home and community-based specialized health care.
