ResponsibilitiesThe Program Assistant will be responsible for the following tasks:
Serve as project assistant for overseas projects—overseeing administrative, contractual, and financial aspects of projectsProvide support to project monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) activities, including data entryLiaise with Cadmus’s Corporate Finance Department to track project spending, provide periodic financial forecasts, and review monthly invoicesServe as workshop coordinator for U.S. and international workshops, managing travel, logistics and other arrangementsMaintain project controls and adherence with policies and proceduresTailor contract templates for consultants, subcontractors, and clientsHandle logistics for consultant and staff travel, relocation, and project eventsSearch consultant database to identify consultants and enter consultant CVs in the consultant databaseManage project deliverables and reportsUpdate website and intranet, as appropriate, including writing success storiesConduct research or data analysis and prepare draft reports (or inputs) for senior staff or project consultants QualificationsMinimum required skills and qualifications:
B.A./S. in business, international development/affairs, economics, or related field and 0-2 years of work experienceAbility to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environmentStrong interpersonal skills (you will interact with employees, consultants, partners, clients, subcontractors, and vendors)Excellent communication (oral and written), research, and presentation skillsPreferred skills and qualifications:
A minimum of one year of experience in administrative or support roles relevant to the international development field preferred. We will also consider other internships or work experience that demonstrates independent decision-making, customer-interfacing responsibilities, and mentoring/training of othersStrong analytical and computer skills, including spreadsheet and financial trackingStrong writing skillsStrong language skills in Spanish or French preferred. Other languages widely spoken in the developing world may be considered in place of these languagesRelevant overseas work or internship experience in a developing country context preferredExperience in relevant international trade and/or economic growth issues preferredRecent graduates and individuals interested in international development work are encouraged to apply
Additional Information:
Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S Permanent Resident or U.S. Citizen.
Based on eligibility and job status, Cadmus offers an excellent benefits package to include: medical, dental, vision, company paid disability and life insurance, 401(k) program, paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, voluntary time off (VTO), tuition reimbursement, adoption assistance program, other optional benefits and various bonus programs.
The minimum starting salary for this position is $55,000. The actual salary may be higher and will be determined by several factors, including relevant work experience, education, skills, and market competitiveness.
