Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Summer Principals Academy - New Orleans seeks an experienced Program Assistant to provide advanced-level support to the SPA faculty and administration team. The Program Assistant works as part of a highly collaborative team and juggles multiple tasks in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate has experience in research, data collection, and entry, and possesses administrative and communication skills.
Location: Hybrid position - remote and in-person in New Orleans, Louisiana
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist faculty, staff, and students with daily tasks/errands, especially during callback and summer intensive. Assisting with resolving technology issues (e.g. presentations, email access, etc. Collaborating on shared program documents. Assisting with logistics of cohort activities and events Stocking and organizing work areas Providing faculty with requested materials in the classroom Assisting faculty as Instructional Assistant when needed Being the point of contact when other staff are not available Ability to work independently with exceptional follow-up skills Exercise professional judgment, work independently, show initiative, communicate effectively, and demonstrate excellent organizational skill Support hospitality tasks for students and guestsMinimum Qualifications:
BA/BS or within 1 semester of completion Excellent oral / written communication skills and can create concise, professional work Must be able to abide by the Student Privacy Requirements/FERPA Must be able to work in person in New Orleans, Louisiana Must be available to work flexible hours and work occasional Saturdays and evenings as needed (Anticipated working hours are Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:30 am-5:00 pm) Strong communication, writing, and technology skills (e.g. Google Drive, Google Apps, Zoom, Canvas, Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic website maintenance) Strong ability to use social media (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.)Preferred Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree Awarded Experience with website management Experience using Canva platform to create promotional and social media content (Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook)Salary Range:
