Program Clinician - BASE
 General Statement of Duties: Oversee and coordinate clinical planning, program activities, supports and services for students and families.

Responsibilities:

Work collaboratively with Program Director to oversee the eligibility, intake and assessment process and assign Resource Counselors to each student making the best match to meet family needs.Provide clinical oversight to program assuring wraparound methodologies are utilized and clinical services and supports for students and families are family and community based, culturally competent and driven by the strengths of individuals.Interface with local school system to coordinate resources, monitor and ensure continuity between the schools and the BASE program on clinical matters.Participate in management and other required meetings as assigned.Identify staff and family training needs and coordinate and/or implement training programs.Provide ongoing orientation, consultation and in-services to program staff.Develop and model collaborative and partnership oriented relationships with families.Plan and facilitate the implementation of the program’s therapeutic curriculum.Collaborate with Head Nurse of agency and Child Psychiatrist on policies and procedures and medical/emotional needs of student.Liaise with other BAMSI programs, Partnership, community agencies and resources, schools, state personnel, and others as assigned to assure a wide array of clinical supports available and to represent the program on clinical matters as necessary.Coordinate and facilitate Care Plans as needed.Oversee the program and facilitate staff meetings in the absence of the Program DirectorAssist the Program Director in:Coordinating and managing the quality of therapeutic services at the BASE Program according to DMH, DEEC, and BAMSI guidelines.Ensuring progress notes and student journals are completed daily and in compliance with DMH, DEEC, and BAMSI policies.Ensure ongoing program compliance with regulatory standards such as DEEC licensing, DMH, DPH, and BAMSI Quality Management.Maintaining outcome measures in compliance with DMH Contract and agency policies.Attend DMH/vendor meetings and other appropriate meetings as assigned.Attend required trainings and demonstrate continued growth and competency.Perform duties to reflect agency policies and procedures.Perform other related work duties as needed or as assigned by supervisor or designee.Execute duties to reflect reasonable safety standards. Standard/universal precautions must be utilized and training obtained in areas that constitute risk

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:

Master’s Degree in a clinical discipline (i.e. Social Work, Clinical/Counseling Psychology, Marriage and Family, Mental Health Counseling)Must possess a valid driver’s license in state of Massachusetts.

EXPERIENCE:

Experience working clinically with children and families with complex behavioral and emotional needs required.Experience working with latency aged youth preferred.Experience working in an after-school program preferred.Experience with working collaboratively with state agencies and community providers and community players.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Knowledge and understanding of the wraparound process.Ability to collaborate with families in the development and delivery of services.Understanding and orientation towards systems thinking and processes.Ability to work adjusted schedules during school vacations and summer months.
