Program Commodity Buyer will support the purchasing function and ensure timely delivery of supplier quotes for new RFQs and commodity purchase support.

 

Responsibilities:

Review the bill of materials and speak to the engineering department in case any change to the bill of materials (change of supplier, etc.) needs to be evaluated. Evaluates vendor quotes and services and determines most desirable suppliers based on list of preferred suppliers from commodity purchasing teams. Join meetings with the rest of the Cross Functional team: PM, EPL, Sales, Plant, etc. Familiarization with standard concepts, practices and procedures in a specific area. Benchmark and negotiation of new materials for new projects Market analysis and raw material development overview Maintenance of PUR systems

 

Requirements:

Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics or relevant At least 1 year of experience in a similar position Fluency in English German is an advantage
