Program Control Analyst, Standards Compliance

You’ll help safeguard our clients, brand and reputation by providing expert advice on all measures of risk. As an Analyst, you’ll work closely with business leaders and Risk Management partners to identify, measure, monitor, and control risk. You’ll use your expertise in technology and operations to provide guidance to business partners and ensure CIBC continues to meet the standards for operational risk. **How you'll succeed** You'll support compliance with applicable standards by: + Understanding and applying enterprise standards applicable to data quality and technology controls, supporting implementation and ongoing compliance through procedure design and implementation support. + Evaluating compliance with standards, providing and executing gap assessments and associated remediation plans. + Assisting with process documentation (e.g. process maps.) + Designing and implementing ongoing processes and systems to maintain evidence of adherence to applicable standards. + Identifying obstacles to sustainability of compliance and implementing remediation as directed. + Monitoring and understanding industry leading practices and regulatory expectations, staying ahead of requirements. + Designing and implementing dashboards and other BI to report on metrics and status of activities to support program managers’ monitoring and oversight. + Assisting the metrics team and others with backlogs such as missing data source mapping and other database management tasks in support of compliance with related standards. + Performing and documenting testing activities for certain controls, acting as an independent check on control effectiveness. + Advising and supporting other business-managed application owners across Risk Management on the implementation of enterprise technology and data standards. + Tracking and communicating progress on remediation activities, including any deficiencies, related to standards implementation and ongoing compliance. + Providing support for documentation requests from auditors and other examiners. + Creating presentations and other materials to communicate compliance status and the status of ongoing initiatives. **Who you are** + You know that details matter. This role has an expected salary range of $63,000 - $70,000 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
