Banyan Global is a woman-owned and managed international development consulting firm committed to improving livelihoods through market approaches to international development. Banyan Global operates seamlessly across four practice areas: health, economic growth, empowering communities, and monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL). This position is based in Washington, DC and candidates must either have US citizenship, permanent residency, or a work permit. Banyan Global currently operates on a hybrid schedule. This position may be filled at either the Program Coordinator I or Program Coordinator II level, depending on the final candidate’s experience.
The Program Coordinator will provide financial, administrative, and programmatic support to a fast-paced and diverse portfolio of projects. The successful candidate will be organized, able to meet deadlines, proactive, open-minded, and eager to expand his or her programmatic experience in international development. S/he will work closely with team members to make sure activities are running smoothly and efficiently, including supporting recruitment, procurement, financial monitoring, logistics, and contractual compliance. Additionally, the Program Coordinator will support quality deliverables and communications through research, editing, and formatting.
This role requires the following:
Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years of experience in project administration, international development, or other relevant field.Strong office and organizational skills, including experience with Microsoft Office applications.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work within deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team while also working independently.Excellent interpersonal skills and experience interacting professionally with culturally diverse staff, clients, consultants, and vendors.Fluency in English.
Ideal candidates will also have:
Experience or interest in MEL within international development.Knowledge of USAID policies and procedures.Second / foreign language skills.Experience in editing content to produce easy-to-understand, grammatically correct products of consistently high quality.A high level of comfort and flexibility with digital tools, such as basic graphic design skills, Google Apps, and/or Mailchimp.
Salary range: $57,000- $64,000. Salary commensurate with years and nature of experience
