This section services other city agencies as well as private rentals. Established policies and procedures and the Department of Parks and Recreation rules and regulations control actions. Independent judgment may occur when emergency situations occur and when dealing with the public. Work is reviewed on a continuing basis by a supervisor who is generally available for detailed/general instructions. Position reports to Senior Manager of Production Arts. Position Responsibilities Key Responsibilities + Supports planning, directing, and coordinating of production arts programs and services + Supports production operations, such as ordering supplies, ticketing, and entering attendance figures + Assists with promotions of Indy Parks concerts and movies, including posting on social media and community calendars + Works with Communications team to develop and implement a marketing/promotion plan for promoting programs and events to surrounding community and appropriate user groups + Utilizes social media platforms to highlight programs and services + Assists with customer service r relations of the section including all forms of communication with the public, marketing of programs and services + Attends meetings or training sessions as required + Supervises the use of production supplies, equipment, and facilities + Sets up and breaks down for scheduled activities, programs, and events + Enforces rules and regulations with park patrons during events and programs + Responsible for cleanliness and general appearance of equipment or work site + Presents a positive image of the departments to the community + Must maintain confidentiality at all times + This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time Qualifications Minimum Job Requirements and Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. General knowledge of sound, lighting and stage equipment and techniques. General knowledge of electrical systems as they relate to sound, lighting and stage equipment and production. Ability to plan and organize activities. Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing. Ability to work productively under general supervision. Must be self-motivated. Work requires regular lifting and carrying of equipment up to 80 pounds, working in varied weather conditions including inclement weather. City vehicles will be driven on a regular basis to department and public/private events. Previous experience working with sound, lighting, and stage equipment in a production setting. Licenses/Certifications Required: Valid driver’s license. Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid Certificate. Candidate must be comfortable working within a diverse organization and have a fluency in and commitment to matters of equity and inclusion. Preferred Job Requirements and Qualifications College Degree preferred. Independent Judgment Working Conditions Work is performed throughout the department and community in both indoor and outdoor settings. Work related activities may incorporate all facets of recreational or municipal service delivery in various physical environments and weather conditions.
