Program Coordinator
 

General Statement of Duties: Assist Program Manager in organizing and scheduling services and activities for the program.  Provide overall program assistance including but not limited to office support, outreach and activity room support.

· Support the Program Manager in the day-to-day operations of the program.

· Organize, implement, and participate in program activities/events to meet the needs and interests of program participants.

· Assist in the planning and distribution of the monthly Brown Bag Program.

· Provide care coordination and advocacy to DDSC participants in the community.

· Provide timely feedback to Program Manager and other team members regarding consumer concerns and expressed needs.

· Help persons served to access community resources.

· Collect, and monitor donations (food or other items) in Brockton and surrounding communities.

· Collect and document daily monetary donations and reconcile weekly with Program Manager or a designee.

· Collaborate with the BAMSI Marketing Department to develop new funding streams and organize fundraising opportunities for the program.

· Collect and track participant data and feedback (demographics and qualitative and quantitative outcomes).

· Complete all paperwork, documentation, and data entry in a timely and accurate manner, including program reporting and evaluation for BAMSI and funders.

· Represent DDSC/BAMSI at assigned community, agency and/or funder meetings.

· Participate in supervision, staff meetings, and required trainings.

· Ensure consumer safety and a safe environment in compliance with agency standards.

· Perform duties to reflect agency/program policies and philosophy and

· Attend trainings and utilize standard/universal precautions.

· Perform other work-related duties as needed or as assigned by supervisor.


EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:

Bachelor-level degree in Social Work/Human Services or 2+ years of experience in related field.Must have a valid driver’s license in the state of Massachusetts and have a means of dependable transportation

EXPERIENCE:

Experience serving, relating, and supporting seniors.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Fluency in speaking either Spanish, Portuguese, Cape Verdean Creole, or Haitian Creole is required.Strong customer service, administrative, and organizational skills.Efficient written and verbal communication skills.Proficient computer skills required, including Microsoft suite applications, online platforms, social media, and zoom.Ability to work independently, inter-dependently, and to manage competing priorities.Demonstrated problem-solving skills.Familiarity with the Greater Brockton Community and resources.Must have the ability to move items weighing up to 40 lbs. from floor level to approximately 4 feet above floor level.Must be able to ascend and descend staircases while moving items weighing up to 20 lbs
