MITRE's Enterprise Technology organization is seeking a results-oriented Program Coordinator to support the Mission Infrastructure Department's CMMC implementation initiatives. This role will be instrumental in managing the transition of mission IT projects to CMMC-compliant platforms and ensuring smooth operational continuity during the transformation of laboratory work to managed platforms. Working directly with the department’s Operations Manager and Business Manager, this position provides crucial program coordination support to drive operational excellence and business growth while maintaining efficient mission delivery throughout the transition process.

Roles & Responsibilities:

The Program Coordinator will facilitate successful implementation of CMMC initiatives and laboratory transformation through the following key responsibilities:

Operations and Business Support

Support the Operations Manager in coordinating and tracking mission IT projects during CMMC onboarding and platform transformation initiatives

Assist the Business Manager with developing and maintaining service portfolio metrics and growth strategies

Monitor operational performance and prepare regular status reports for both Operations and Business management

Identify and escalate potential risks or roadblocks that could impact mission delivery or business objectives

Project Coordination and Management

Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and deliverables

Track resource allocation and utilization across operational and business initiatives

Coordinate with technical teams to ensure alignment between operational capabilities and business requirements

Support the development and implementation of process improvements

Basic Qualifications:

Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of related program coordination experience; or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Demonstrated experience in stakeholder relationship management and strategic communications

Strong technical project management skills with ability to coordinate multiple concurrent initiatives

Experience with information management systems and data governance

Proven track record of process improvement and operational excellence

Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to DOD and additional information environments

This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field

Experience with laboratory operations or IT infrastructure projects

Knowledge of CMMC requirements and compliance frameworks

Proficiency in collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Office suite, Atlassian Jira/Confluence)

Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) and CRM systems

Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

Ability to work additional hours to meet project deadlines, as needed
