Located in a historic neighborhood in the nation's capital, Georgetown offers rigorous academic programs, a global perspective, exciting ways to take advantage of Washington, D.C., and a commitment to social justice. Our community is a tight knit group of remarkable individuals interested in intellectual inquiry and making a difference in the world.

The Center for Multicultural Equity and Access (CMEA) enhances the education of students who have historically experienced barriers to access and success in higher education because of race, ethnicity, national origin, socioeconomic status, and other marginalized identities. The vast social and economic inequalities disrupted a sense of justice as “we walk with the excluded” towards a “hope-filled future.” We actively promote access to educational attainment for diverse populations through intentional programming, services, and opportunities.
The Program Coordinator supports the planning and implementation of programs that support the access and retention of students from diverse backgrounds, inclusive of students identified as first-generation, high financial need, and/or students from diverse backgrounds, as well as alumni and campus partners. This role directly fosters mattering and belonging across diverse stakeholders through honoring “Transitions and Traditions” at Georgetown University and by managing high impact, multicultural programming, including welcome week’s dinner Pangaea, Hoya Saxa Weekend, Homecoming Week/Reunion reception, and all Multicultural graduations and CMEA affiliated events. Additionally, this role serves a key purpose within the department by:
Managing all marketing, technology, and communication efforts for the department.
