Program Coordinator - Center for Student Engagement

Requirements The Program Coordinator will work with staff in the Center for Student Engagement to advise students and student organizations in programming, organizational and leadership development, design and implement training initiatives, along with design programs to involve students in campus life and co-curricular learning experiences. This position directly advises the Georgetown Program Board and other administrative programs, as well as a subset of Student Activities Commission member organizations, and their associated activities, and is responsible for designing and delivering the department’s leadership programs, training initiatives, and the Blueprint Student Organization training. The Center for Student Engagement is a fast paced, student-centered environment. Student contact is extensive and substantive. Staff members work collaboratively within the office and with many other university-wide constituent groups. Staff members are expected to exercise a high degree of responsibility and independent judgment and to work irregular and sometimes long hours. Work Interactions This position reports to the Associate Director of Student Engagement. This position supervises up to three Graduate Assistants. This position works closely with the Associate Director in advising student organizations. Requirements and Qualifications A Bachelor’s Degree is required. A Master’s Degree in College Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs or related discipline preferred. 0-2 years experience is required. Experience in leading or advising student organizations, student activities, and event planning is required. Experience in advising students in co-curricular matters to enhance learning and development is required.
