Program Coordinator for Family and Supporter Engagement
Position Number: 001199 Department: Strategic & Success Initiatives (Adm) Employment Type: Permanent - Full-time Months Per Year: 12 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Family and Supporter Engagement (F&SE) team believes that when families and supporters are informed and engaged, students benefit. Each of our programs and services strives to keep families and student supporters up-to-date on Niner Nation and connected to our community. Essential duties: + Provide exceptional customer service to family and supporter engagement participants, including tracking participant engagement, coordinating information distribution within systems, and modifying content to meet participant needs. + Assist with the development of comprehensive plans for programmatic initiatives, outlining specific tasks, timelines, resource requirements, and communication plans for all signature Family & Supporter Engagement programs. + Collaborate with campus departments to solicit and maximize Family & Supporter Engagement events and opportunities for engagement. + Create, share, and interpret data and reports for internal and external partners; + Integrate family communications into various technology platforms. + Make suggestions for policy adaptations and work with the Program Director for Family and Supporter Engagement and the Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs to revise and distribute policies to all relevant constituents annually. + Manage technology platforms supporting program registration for family and supporter engagement initiatives, while collaborating with University departments to enhance messaging and resource-sharing on the 49er Family Hub. + Supervise F&SE Transition & Success Coordinator(s) and graduate assistants as applicable. + Serve as primary PCI Compliance officer within F&SE, leading all transactions, reconciliation, purchasing, and disbursement processes for unit. Minimum Experience / Education: Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. University Preferred Qualifications: Graduation from a four-year college or university and two years of administrative or office management experience in the student services or related field; or equivalent. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Preferred Education Skills and Experience: + Experience working in higher education. + Experience working with families, student supporters, undergraduate student leaders and/or student employees. + Formal or specialized customer service training. + Ability to learn new and specific technologies to support office operations. + Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Gmail, Google Calendar (Intermediate experience preferred) + Strong attention to detail needed.
