The primary purpose of this position is to analyze applications for titles with salvage history to determine the proper brands for the title and that all documentation is in order. This position inspects documents and issues titles for custom built, foreign registration, kit cars, grey market vehicles, vehicles with frame, motor, body and dash changes. These titles are branded appropriately. This position issues Instant titles requested by mail. This position communicates with the public and others via telephone, correspondence, and E-mail. The program area for this position includes one or more of the following: DMV Customer Service experience, knowledge of GS chapter 20, policies and procedures that govern the issuance of a North Carolina title, experience with the DMV National Motor Vehicle Information System (NMVTIS), and/or State Titling and Registration System (STARS).
