Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Coordinator I for the School of Arts & Sciences.
Among the key duties of this position are the following: Assists with programming and special initiatives for the SAS EOF Program. Creates and oversees the SAS EOF mentoring program, serving as the primary staff advisor to the SAS EOF student organizations, maintaining the SAS EOF web site and coordinating social media outreach, serving as editor and publisher for the SAS EOF newsletter and recruiting a team of students to serve as writers, assisting with all aspects of the year-long process of Summer Institute residence life planning. Serves as the live-in Residence Life Coordinator during the Summer Institute responsible for over 300 students and 20 Resident Mentor staff. Assists the Senior Program Administrator with hiring, selection and training for the SAS EOF program. Focuses on SAS EOF student retention initiative, and handling time-sensitive special projects and assignments . Takes direction from the Department Administrator Supervisor with summer requisitions, summer purchases, budget reconciliation, and expense reports. Assists with payroll for Summer Institute personnel/payroll. Assists the SAS EOF Senior Program Administrator to ensure programming and integrative student projects are focused on student retention and graduation. Provides alumni relations support, and serve as the SAS EOF liaison with the EOF state-wide alumni association. Develops processes to assist with evaluation of Program effectiveness. Assists with database management, and identifies additional program resources. Assists with the undertaking of on-site evaluations and services. Assesses service levels and Program progress, and prepares appropriate recommendations. Follows the Office of the Secretary of Higher Education/EOF regulations and assists in preparing annual/expenditure reports, student and programmatic evaluations, and research projects associated with special populations. Works consistent with an understanding of the mission, vision, role, and goals of the SAS EOF Program. Works on other SAS EOF projects and duties as assigned.
