Job Title Program Coordinator I - Corps Recruiting Agency Texas A&M University Department Office Of The Commandant Proposed Minimum Salary Commensurate Job Location College Station, Texas Job Type Staff Job Description Who We Are The Office of the Commandant (OOC) serves and supports departments within the Corps of Cadets that are critically engaged in all aspects of student development and the delivery of key services and support. OOC departments work to create environments that help students develop, learn, and enhance their experience at Texas A&M by providing leadership opportunities, experiential education, and connections beyond the classroom. The Program Coordinator I position assists the Corps Recruiting Director in carrying out the recruiting mission for the Corps of Cadets . Develops and conducts recruiting programs at high schools, college nights, and other events that have a high potential for reaching prospective cadets. Oversees and directs the Aggie Corps Recruiting Program consisting of volunteer Aggie recruiters across the nation. Provides training and liaison with Texas A&M Prospective Student Centers across the state of Texas. Other Requirements and Factors: This position spends significant time traveling alone on the road attending college recruiting nights across the state. The ability to arrange t ravel and stay overnight for these recruiting trips is required (may drive a rental). Qualifications Required Education and Experience + Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience + Two years of program administration experience Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities + Good interpersonal skills and ability to relate to high school & college students + Outstanding speaking, presentation, and writing skills + Detail oriented, strong organizational skills + Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others + Ability to work on the road with limited supervision Preferred Qualifications: + Prior recruiting or sales experience + Graduate of Texas A&M who was a member of the Aggie Corps of Cadets + Knowledge of the Texas A&M admissions process Responsibilities PROGRAM/PROJECT COORDINATOR + Coordinates, schedules, and conducts Corps Recruiting program visits to high schools, college nights, and other events that have a high potential for reaching prospective cadets + Conducts follow up recruiting of prospects identified during visits + Supports the Commandant or their designated representative during their off-campus recruiting efforts + Provides support for on-campus recruiting programs including individual prospective student appointments, group visits, New Student Conferences, and our formal recruiting programs (Spend the Night with the Corps, Corps Leadership Invitational, Corps Discovery Day, Aggieland Saturday, and New Student Conferences) + Conduct follow-up recruiting for prospects identified and assigned to this position + Oversees and directs the Aggie Corps Recruiting Program consisting of volunteer Aggie recruiters across the nation ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT: + Maintains records and database of prospective students + Performs administrative functions (prepares letters and reports; answer emails and mail) + Submits and completes travel requests.
