What we want
The Program Coordinator - Medical Education coordinates and facilitates activities for Texas A&M College of Medicine’s undergraduate medical education programs to include administrative, education and accreditation responsibilities. Provides administrative support to clerkship and site directors, faculty, and peer clerkship coordinators. Serves as liaison to education administration, students, faculty and staff, and clinical affiliate healthcare providers and staff.

Salary: Compensation will be commensurate to the selected hire’s experience
Schedule: Position’s working hours are primarily Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm; some after-hours and weekend work may be required
Travel: Travel to health systems within the surrounding area and to other College of Medicine campuses will be required

Required Education and Experience
+ Bachelor's degree or any equivalent combination of training and experience
+ Two years of experience in project administration including experience in education administration and/or coordination
Preferred Qualifications
+ Master’s Degree
+ At least five (5) years of experience in medical education or student services coordination
+ Experience managing and/or coordinating delivery of medical curriculum and student affairs services
+ Experience with the Canvas, Oasis, and/or BLUE educational software systems
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
+ Working knowledge of spreadsheet, presentation, and word processing software programs
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to plan and organize effectively
+ Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
+ Ability to perform all tasks and job responsibilities safely without injury to self and others in compliance with A&M System and HSC guidelines
Responsibilities
+ Curriculum Delivery Coordination: Coordinates workflow with the aid of health education software; manage student schedules, documentation, evaluations and grades for UME. Supports the preparation and presentation of course activities. Coordinates activities related to educational conferences, meetings, lectures, laboratory sessions, examinations and special events as directed by curriculum and leadership. Assists faculty in the development and delivery of medical education courses, clerkships, and programs
+ Curriculum Management: Collaborates with medical education coordinators and course leadership to organize and disseminate course materials required of curricular blocks, threads, clerkships and electives within the College of Medicine’s undergraduate medical education program (UME). Administers curriculum in an e-learning environment utilizing the Canvas learning management system as well as additional required software applications.
+ Communication and Team Cooperation: Interacts with students, faculty, staff and external stakeholders. Liaises with affiliate partners, i.e., healthcare systems, clinics, and community organizations. Maintains strict confidentiality with regards to all FERPA and HIPPA documentation, i.e., student records. Processes and facilitates Round Rock medical student documentation to ensure successful away/off campus clinical rotations. Distributes campus information such as course/workshop start reminders and notifications for upcoming campus activities.
+ Accreditation: Compiles and maintains data to ensure compliance with institutional and program accreditation requirements, i.e., LCME and SACS. Coordinates and prepares materials for continued institutional accreditation.
+ Student Services: Serves as point of contact for students; handle day-to-day communication with students by phone, email and/or in-person. Provides information on course offerings, syllabi and clinical rotation requirements to assist students in the preparation of rotation schedules. Serves as liaison to the College of Medicine Office of Student Affairs; assists with the coordination of student organization events and meetings. Facilitates, controls, and maintains credentialing documentation for medical students to ensure successful clinical affiliation teaching rotations on the Round Rock campus
+ Budgeting and Fiscal Support: Assists in developing clinical education budget for clinical and elective education program. Reconciles clinical education units for prompt remittance/reimbursement. Prepares purchase order requests and reports necessary for payment processing in a timely manner.
+ Other Duties: Performs other duties as assigned.
