In this pivotal role, the Program Coordinator will lead efforts to develop and implement comprehensive strategies that promote student success, retention, and progression in STEM disciplines. The KY-WV LSAMP Program Coordinator II position is supported by institutional funding and provides a unique opportunity to broaden participation in STEM education and workforce development nationwide.
Key Responsibilities Organize and oversee meetings, training sessions, and activities for the KY-WV LSAMP cohort and Alliance members. Lead the preparation and submission of required reports and documentation, including quarterly updates and annual check-ins. Facilitate data collection processes to support program evaluation and assess overall impact. Manage the federal grant budget, ensure compliance with funding guidelines, and disseminate funding as directed. Plan and coordinate major events, such as the annual LSAMP symposium and campus coordinator retreats and manage group travel for conferences and seminars. Assist the Principal Investigator (PI) and Co-Principal Investigators (co-PIs) with various program initiatives and responsibilities. Create connections between LSAMP, retention-centered campus partners and external community partners Conduct annual in-person site visits with alliance partners. Maintain the KY-WV LSAMP website and manage the program’s listserv. Cultivate strong relationships with faculty members to serve as mentors.

From a student-centered framework, our practice will be grounded in peer-reviewed literature, national best practices, and data-informed decision making. Collaborating with the campus and community, Student Success will work through a holistic lens to support a diverse community of learners in achieving success.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Experience in program coordination or administration, preferably in higher education or related fields. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals and communities from different educational, cultural, and economic backgrounds. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Budget management experience with grant-funded programs. Thrives in both individual and team-oriented environments. Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience Prefer a Masters level degree in education, administration, STEM fields, or related areas with experience in program coordination or administration, preferably in higher education or a related field.
