Position Details
General Statement
This position serves as part of a small team working to strengthen the skills of local leaders, enhance civic engagement and increase vitality of Montana communities through logistics and communications support.
Duties and Responsibilities
+ Provides general administrative support to the Local Government Center team.
+ Drives customer services, administration and clear reporting of online courses offered by the Local Government Center.
+ Support website and email communications to maximize communication to internal and external target audiences.
+ Aid with logistics for in-person, on-line and hybrid educational workshops, conferences and other educational events that support elected and appointed local government leaders, municipal staff, community-based leadership development, and other similar initiatives.
+ Manage financial transactions and invoicing for educational events and trainings.
+ Expectation for continued growth and learning in community and leadership development theory and practice.
Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
+ Demonstrated skill organizing and prioritizing large volumes of work with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality; paying close attention to detail; meeting strict deadlines; and adapting to changing priorities while maintaining a positive, effective, and professional approach.
+ Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and competence communicating information, directions, and procedures in person, by phone, and e-mail while handling sensitive and confidential information.
+ Demonstrated experience with program management.
+ Demonstrated experience maintaining and tracking budgets.
+ Demonstrated experience with personal computers including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, email, internet, and graphic design programs.
Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
+ Experience with event management.
+ Experience managing virtual events via Zoom or other video conferencing platforms.
+ Experience with Customer Relationship Management programs.
+ Attention to detail in written communications and project management.
+ Experience with Microsoft Office software.
