Position Overview:
Reporting to the Associate Dean of Student Affairs and Dean of Students, this position is an integral part of the Student Affairs team that promotes a campus environment that is inclusive, supportive and respectful of all community members. The Program Coordinator will play a crucial role in facilitating training programs for the Merrimack College community, supervising Unity House coordinators and student employees, and ensuring the smooth operation of the Unity House. The ideal candidate will also assist in the development of a comprehensive programming calendar and support additional programming efforts across the division.

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs or similar program. 1-3 years’ experience working in higher education Commitment to and demonstrated ability to integrate diversity, equity, and inclusion issues into work with diverse student populations in both individual and group settings. Commitment to and experience with diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and programming, preferably in a higher education setting. Exceptional in person and written customer service as the first point of escalation in the office and on the phone. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to manage competing demands in a calm and friendly manner. Ability to work independently and use discretion and independent judgment in decision making. Availability to work a flexible work schedule that could sometimes include nights and weekend responsibilities. Advanced Computer Skills (Microsoft Office word, excel, publisher). Experience with Jenzabar or other higher education databases, Google Suite, webpage editing knowledge.
