Program Coordinator - Transplant

Overview
Responsible to coordinate activities surrounding the quality program within the solid-organ transplant program. Develops and implements quality system measures of key activities with the transplant program for purposes of maintaining regulatory compliance with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the United Network of Organ Sharing (UNOS).
Responsibilities
* Maintains CMC and UNOS program compliance by identifying and communicating required regulations and compliance.
* Coordinates the program’s quality assurance/process improvement program. Collects and reviews program data on a regular basis and makes decisions/ recommendations to leadership regarding program improvements.
* Prepares and reports out on program quality and volume metrics from UNOS and SRTR (Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients) to leadership, regulatory agencies and insurance payers as required.
* Collects and analyzes program and patient data for maintaining quality measures.
* Prepares and maintains the program’s quality measures scorecard and dashboard.
* Participates and takes minutes in committee meetings.
* Maintains team time studies of pre- and post - transplant activities and reports to CMS as required for cost report reimbursement.
* Maintains required reports and documentation required by CMS for program audits.
* Assists with documentation completion through record audits and verifying UNOS submission data.
* Participates in program’s strategic and operational planning meetings/processes and process improvement activities.
* Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in health care, management or related field or the equivalent required.
* 5 years of experience in a Solid Organ Transplant environment preferred.
