Program Director
Overview **This position is contingent upon contract award** SOSi is seeking a Program Director to join our team in Greensboro, NC and provide overall management of the programmatic, administrative, financial, and operational systems related to the provision of direct care services (DCS) for non-citizen unaccompanied children (UC) and sustainment and maintenance of the supporting facilities. Essential Job Duties Serve as SOSi’s primary on-site interface with HHS Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) and other governmental entities and stakeholders involved with the HHS ORR mission in Greensboro, NC. Establish & maintain a respectful and supportive workplace; elevate issues or concerns to the COR. Oversee daily programmatic performance, ensuring requirements are met in accordance with the contract statement of work (SOW) at the best value (Performance, Quality, Cost, Schedule). Provide overall guidance and direction to all SOSi employees and partner subcontractors. Oversee staffing in accordance with contractual, federal, state, and local governing regulations. Coordinate the program’s logistical planning of goods, services, and equipment effectively and efficiently. Provide site-level direction for development & management of systems, processes, and tools to enhance program performance. Collect and analyze data and metrics to evaluate and enhance programmatic performance. Provide regular and timely reports to HHS ORR regarding contract cost, schedule, and technical performance. Communicate directly with customer operational and program leads as required to maintain a good, effective working customer relationship. Hold regular operational meetings to discuss operations and support personnel performance to identify program deficiencies and propose potential solutions. Lead, mentor, and develop the contract workforce. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Must have a master’s degree in social work or equivalent degree in education, psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science degree; or a bachelor’s degree plus 5 years’ experience in child welfare administration, child protective services. Must have at least two (2) years of experience as program manager of a $50M a year contract, or two (2) years as director of a license childcare facility. Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check, and a background check, after accepting a conditional offer of employment. Preferred Qualifications Experience and/or training in ORR operated shelters is preferred but not required. Experience working with immigrant populations and child welfare is preferred but not required. Spanish-English bilingual is preferred but not required. Work Environment Work in a fast-paced environment and remain emotionally controlled. Willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Ability to work flexible hours. We operate 24/7/365, inside and outside, all weather conditions. Travel throughout the U.S. as needed.
