POSITION SUMMARY:
Develops, organizes, and implements high quality YMCA program(s).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Directs and supervises program activities to meet YMCA objectives of the following programs:Youth & Adult SportsDay Camp, Before & After SchoolRecruits, trains, develops, schedules and directs personnel and volunteers as needed. Reviews and evaluates staff performance. Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.Establishes new program activities and expands program within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans.Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information, may organize and schedule program registrations. May review and assist with processing program scholarship applications.Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations.Develops and monitors program budget to meet fiscal objectives.Coordinates use of facilities for program activities and events.Assists in YMCA fund raising activities and special events.Responds to all member and community inquiries and complaints in timely manner.Assists with Program Committee meetingsCompiles program statistics. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of and participation in program.Organizes and oversees program activities and events.Recruits and coordinates and ensures screening for volunteers from the local community.Coordinates and monitors teen summer camps.Organizes, and conducts Leaders Club/Leadership High School activities and events.Secures facilities for program activities and events.Facilitates and coordinates participation in community events, expos, on and offsite open houses, etc. in order to increase awareness and foster relationships in YMCA programs.Responsible for upholding all staff safety requirements including cleaning protocols throughout the day, as required by my department.*On-site attendance is required of this position

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent preferred. YUSA Team Leader Certification preferred.One to two years related experience preferred. Successfully complete State of Florida Criminal History Background Check requirements as well as meet the Association’s policies on background screeningCERTIFICATIONS AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
CPR and First Aid Certifications requiredAnnual completion of YMCA’s Blood Borne Pathogens trainingAnnual completion of YMCA of the USA Child Abuse and Neglect classCompletion of YMCA program-specific certifications. Staff Safety Requirements/Cleaning Protocols
