Position Title: Program Director

KBR is looking for a Project Director who oversees and directs all aspects of nuclear projects, from planning and development to execution and timely delivery. This high-impact role requires a strategic leader with extensive experience in nuclear project management, including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning. This role is highly strategic and collaborative, ensuring the delivery of multi-billion-dollar projects while navigating the complexities of the nuclear industry.

Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to: 

Project Leadership: Provide strategic direction and oversight for SMR/AMR projects, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.Team Management: Lead and develop project teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, suppliers, and local communities, ensuring alignment and effective communication.Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with project execution, ensuring compliance with nuclear safety and quality assurance standards.Process Improvement: Champion process improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery and customer satisfaction.Resource Planning: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, resource plans, and financial forecasts to ensure project goals align with organizational objectives.Compliance: Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations related to nuclear construction and operations.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills: 

An undergraduate degree in Engineering and possession of a P.E. Minimum of 15 years of experience in or related projects with an average of 20+ years which includes several years of Senior Project Management level experience managing the execution of Nuclear EPC projects.Plans the project execution and revise the plan as necessary and assures adherence to the plan.Leads the project management team and is responsible for the successful completion of the project.Abides by our business ethics.Job role is independently accountable for a large staff or support arm of the organization or a single profit/loss or revenue center, major product line, or support function. 

Preferred Education & Skills: 

Extensive recent experience managing commercial nuclear projects, particularly in construction, engineering, procurement, and commissioning.Proven track record of delivering large-scale infrastructure projects.Ability to manage complex stakeholder interactions and foster collaboration within an alliance contracting model.Strong leadership and communication abilities, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and profound understanding of nuclear industry regulations and standards
