Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and supervise the daily management and operation of the program.
2. Oversee development and implementation of Individual Action Plans and treatment groups.
3. Ensure the quality of client care throughout the program with an emphasis on issue of health and safety.
4. Oversee the quality of clinical record system related to program licensing requirements.
5. Work cooperatively with referral sources to evaluate and coordinate the appropriate admission and treatment of all clients referred to the ADTC program.
6. Collaboration and networking with community and support teams to enhance treatment plans.
7. Attend and facilitate monthly/quarterly team meetings as reflected in IAP.
8. Coordinate, oversee and participate in activities of the multi-disciplinary team.
9. Recruit, interview and select for recommendation in hiring of potential program employees and complete and process required personnel documentation in an accurate and timely
10. Complete first four month and annual job performance evaluations for all program staff as required.
11. Accountable for ongoing policy development ensuring that program staff adhere to established program and agency policies and procedures.
12. Provide ongoing documented supervision, training and professional development for program staff.
13. Ensure ongoing program compliance with regulatory standards such as QM, CARF, DPH, and MBHP.
14. Ensure proper safety maintenance of the building.
15. Act as liaison between day program, Department of Mental Health care providers and residential staff.
16. Oversee and coordinate all aspects of billing matters at the program.
17. Execute duties to reflect reasonable safety standards. Standard precautions must be utilized and training obtained in areas that constitute risk.
18. Maintain a valid driver’s license and own means of transportation for the purpose of attending external meetings, transporting persons served and shopping for program items as required.
19. Perform duties to reflect agency/program policies and procedures.
20. Perform other related work duties as needed or as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
· Master’s Degree in Psychiatry, Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Social Work; licensed in Mental Health Counseling, Occupational Therapy, Rehabilitation Counseling or other related health field; or Bachelor’s Degree in Psychiatric Nursing or Occupational Therapy (unless the basic preparation took place at a Master’s Degree level).
· Three years of full-time, supervised clinical experience in a multidisciplinary team treatment setting, preferred. Familiarity with the principles of rehabilitation and recovery model. Two years experience must be post graduate except for registered nurse or occupational therapist.
· Occupational Therapist with a Bachelor’s degree must have two years work experience with a participant population, one year (can be congruent) in an adult day treatment program and two years administrative/supervisory experience.
