Job Summary

Compliance Technology is looking for an individual with great experience and matching skills to lead a global initiative in the trade surveillance space. It’s a 5 year program that will result in a platform for surveillance in the retail space globally. Along with the product, success includes onboarding multiple businesses and stakeholders to the tool and processes as well as a transition to BAU.

What will you do?

 Project / Program Management

Lead a large program with 3+ workstreams in the Trade Surveillance areaLead through “end-to-end” project delivery on regulatory based remediation activities from initiation through to post-implementation review as required within approved time frames, scope and budget.Establish, execute, and maintain roadmaps and plans to deliver on key strategic priorities across Compliance Technology.Facilitate decision-making and develop risk-mitigation strategies to ensure the successful closure of remediation activities.Implement change management and provide lead change management initiatives that can impact the project and remediation activities.Exhibit good regulation acumen and judgment in the formulation of recommendations to foresee and mitigate high-impact issues and complexities.Build relationships and ongoing partnerships with key partners across the business, functions, including technology, and operations.Work closely with various teams towards a common goal and negotiate deliverables and milestones as required.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have:

Willingness align with EST working hours within reasonExtensive (10+ years) of experience in Program ManagementExtensive experience in Technology/Operations functional areaUnderstanding of regulator mind-set and frameworkExcellent written and oral communication skillsProven ability to communicate at Senior Management/ Executive levels, including proven ability to manage challenging conversationsAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Macros5+ years of People leadership experienceExperience managing a team and/or leading complex projectsExperience working in a matrixed environment actively managing a diverse group of stakeholdersSkilled in building a network and maintaining key relationshipsStrong problem solving, analytical (including qualitative analysis), research skillsDesire to learn and develop, and strong willingness to work in a collaborative team environmentStrong team player, highly collaborative, acts as one team and speak up for the good of RBC

Nice-to-Have:

Experience in Wealth Management and Capital MarketsExperience in product build initiativesExperience in banking or equivalent
